Violation WTF?

Deviantart is such a pain. My Mudkip picture has been up for years now and someone nicely reported me for art theft. I didnt steal anyones art. How can you steal something that was given out on a public website for everyone to use? It was just line art that I COLORED. Never claimed to have drawn it myself. They deleted my most popular picture, im pretty annoyed at this. So many people post colored line arts that someone else drew. Is it cause i couldnt directly link it to the source? Not my fault the source isnt available anymore. I dont even think i have that picture saved anywhere and now its gone. Thanks a lot DA and thanks a lot to the douche who reported me.
